How can I book Kasa Tatu Villas?

What is the price per night?
Exclusive use of each villa starts from KES 20,000 (US$157) per villa per night, with seasonal rates applying during peak periods such as Christmas and New Year.
All rates include 16% Kenyan VAT.
How close is Kasa Tatu to Watamu Beach?
Kasa Tatu Villas are located approximately 8–10 minutes gentle walk from Watamu Beach, including popular stretches such as Turtle Bay and Garoda Beach. See the drop-down for the walk to the beach.
Transport can easily be arranged on request, including tuk-tuk transfers to and from the beach and local attractions.

How many guests can each cottage accommodate?
Each villa features two ensuite bedrooms:
One bedroom with a double bed
One bedroom with two single beds (can be joined into a double)
In Kasa Emma, an additional Swahili-style daybed on the terrace can accommodate two extra guests.
Maximum occupancy: up to 5 guests per villa.
Is air-conditioning available?
Yes, both bedrooms are fitted with air-conditioning units.
Please note:
Air-conditioning runs on mains electricity (KPLC supply) - this can be erratic and inconsistent!!
During power interruptions, air-conditioning may not operate as backup systems do not support AC units
Is housekeeping included?
Yes, daily housekeeping is included in your stay.
A cleaning fee of KES 5,000 per stay is applied to cover final cleaning and preparation.
Is laundry service available?
Personal laundry is not included, but can be arranged with our Housekeeper:
KES3,000 per load (washing, ironing, and return within 24 hours)
External dry cleaning services can also be arranged if required
Is there a minimum stay?
Yes:
Minimum stay: 2 nights (all year round)
Minimum stay: 5 nights (15th December – 6th January)
Do you offer a private chef?
Yes, we can arrange a private chef during your stay.
Cost: KES 2,200 per day
Includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner preparation
Food ingredients are charged separately and purchased locally
Enjoy freshly prepared meals including locally caught seafood and Swahili-inspired cuisine.
Is there backup electricity?
Yes, Kasa Tatu has multiple power solutions:
Inverter backup system (approx. 8 hours emergency power)
On-site generator for extended outages
Please note:
Air-conditioning requires mains electricity from KPLC and will not operate during power cuts.
Is Kasa Tatu safe?
Yes. Kasa Tatu Cottages are located within a secure private compound in Turtle Bay, Watamu.
Security features include:
Walled perimeter
Controlled gated access 24/7
On-site security guard
CCTV covering external areas
Is smoking allowed?
Smoking is not permitted inside the villas
Smoking is allowed in all outdoor areas, including terraces and gardens.
Is Kasa Tatu child-friendly?
Yes, Kasa Tatu is suitable for families with children and infants.
